Ship a playable demo and a live wishlist page
A finite outcome with a finish line — which is what makes it a project and not an area.
Definition of done
- Store page is live with a wishlist button, screenshots, and a one-line hook.
- A 10-minute playable demo is downloadable from that page.
- The demo's first 60 seconds have been watched by 3 strangers and revised once from what they did (not what they said).
Why it serves goal:launch-paid-game-v1
The goal needs 500 wishlists before launch; you can't gather wishlists without a page and a demo. This project is the front of that funnel. It also lives out principle:ship-before-its-ready — a demo, deliberately rough, exposed to real players early.
Next action
Cut the tutorial level down to the 90 seconds that actually teach the core loop, and record one stranger playing it. (Exactly one next action.)
Log
- 2026-02-27 — Store page draft up (private). Hook line still weak.
- 2026-02-20 — Demo build compiles on a clean machine; tutorial too long.
- 2026-02-02 — Project opened; carved out of the larger "the whole game" scope.
